Everybody loves photos. So much so that in Skye we are creating a Festival to celebrate them. | |
| Fàilte mhòr oirbh, a chàirdean. Welcome to our wee corner of the world. Who needs a planet that will take you twenty million years to reach, when you can see hundreds of millions of years layered into one geological sculpture and only grow a week older? |  |
Where? - In Trotternish @ The Skye Photography Festival! | |
| Where you can feel with your fingers the wave ripples left by an ebbing tide from 175 million years ago. Or count the lava flows on Druim Thròndairnis - the Trotternish ridge. Where you will require outdoor clothing if you are to join us in boring beneath the veneer of our ‘beautiful views’. Where together we will explore the layers of photography around, above, beneath and within our very selves. |  |
| Come along and help us to find ‘the knot in the basalt’ – where geology and archaeology, people and language, wildlife and land-use meet in a meaningful moment of photography. | |
